Ray Ball, (UAA History Department), shares her research on the relationship between Spanish theatre and health care funding in the Spanish empire. Her book project Treating The Public: Public Drama, Public Health, and Public Opinion in the Early Modern Atlantic World is a comparison of commercial theater, charitable organizations, and public health in cities in the Spanish and Anglo Atlantic worlds during the 16th and 17th centuries.en_US
