dc.description.abstract | The book, No Small Lives: Handbook of North American Early Women Adult Educators, 1925-1950, edited by Gretchen Bersch, contains the stories of 26 North American women who were active in the field of adult education, 1925-1950. Generally, women's contributions have been omitted from the field's histories. No Small Lives is designed to address this gap. Gretchen Bersch, Professor Emerita at UAA began her career in adult education in 1971. She is the recipient of numerous awards and honors including being inducted into the International Adult and Continuing Education Hall of Fame. Carole L. Lund is Associate Professor of Business in the Business Administration Department at Alaska Pacific University. | en_US |
