    Abstract
In response to the needs of the people of Alaska for a more diversified and decentralized system of higher education, the Board of Regents of the University of Alaska has established three major administrative and instructional divisions of the University on a regional basis. University of Alaska programs and activities are conducted in each of the three regions under the administrative direction of a Regional Provost and the academic guidance of a Regional Instructional Council. This catalog describes the various higher education programs and activities being conducted at Ketchikan Community College, Juneau-Douglas Community College, Sitka Community College, Southeastern Senior College, through a program of Regional Public Service, and Extension Centers in Petersburg and Wrangell.
