    Describes the Sprites Campaign which utilized two aircraft to record the phenomenon, red sprites, above thunderstorm clouds; also describes blue jets that were observed and recorded for study.

    The Sprites Campaign was conducted by the Geophysical Institute of the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, to image upper atmospheric optical emissions (sprites) above thunderstorms ... The multiple mission Sprites Campaign was conducted out of Oklahoma City June 29-July 12, 1994. Director of imagery and producer, Daniel Osborne. Originally a VHS tape; digitized by Rasmuson Library, February 2026.

    Export search results
