Dr. Jones retired from the position of Vice Chancellor of the University of Alaska Southeast in 1984. This volume covers the history of higher education institutions in Southeast Alaska from 1969 through 1988, including the mergers of the University of Alaska, Juneau with Juneau-Douglas Community College, Islands Community College, and Ketchikan Community College and the formation of University of Alaska Southeast.en_US
