dc.description.abstract | The present work aims to analyze the geometry of a new flow-field plate called the intersecting channel flow-field, developed at the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF). Four different two-dimensional models have been investigated and analyzed for the uniform spatial mass flow distribution of air in the channels. Based on the outcome of the two-dimensional models, a three-dimensional model of the flow-field was analyzed using CFD and the results were compared with those from an experiment which was conducted at UAF. The results from the three-dimensional numerical analysis showed a minor deviation from the experimental results. | en_US |
