dc.description.abstractThis project’s premise explores the relationships between regulatory departments, agencies, divisions, offices and bureaus within Alaska and how they work in a cohesive and symbiotic relationship with one another during a response to a pollution incident. By examining a few basic questions pertaining to what regulations deal with a pollution response and who or what entity has legal responsibility to ensure compliance, a Quick Reference Pamphlet or QRP was developed for the layman. Two reasons for its development include: The layman who either may not have clear understanding of all pertinent regulations; or does not have time to read and become a subject matter expert with the vast amount of governmental plans which explain authorization, permits, forms and instructions.en_US
