The Institute of Northern Engineering (INE) is the research arm of CEM. It has several distinct research centers and provides facilities and support to dozens of researchers working in conjunction with the College. INE focuses on basic and applied research and development, as well as research outreach. INE promotes interdisciplinary and collaborative research and development. INE seeks to increase student involvement in research so as to produce graduates at the cutting edge of engineering and technology.
